My life has been in a lot of turmoil the last few months.
* I decided that I am going to back to India for the first time in almost 20 years with my mom. I leave in 2.5 weeks and counting.
* Shortly after that I started a new job, they hired me even though I'm going to India for 3 weeks (yay!).
* My sister Niki had a beautiful baby boy named Eli.
I'm
sure there are many more things that I should mention, but I am at a
loss at the moment. Anyway, the bakery I work at is in Wellesley, MA
the name is Susu Bakery Boutique. You can fine out more about it here.
Oh! I remember another
thing. My lovely husband, assisted by my mom, sister and step father
got
me a
camera for my birthday! The first weekend I had it we were having a
mini family reunion up in
Maine, here are a few of the better pictures I took.
I also made a trip to Syracuse a few weeks ago for the Open Hand Theater festival. I got some great pictures there as well.
Tiger is coming, UPS says its on a truck and everything! Oh, and happy belated birthday Laura!

Laura DeHaas November 29, 1904 - April 13, 2005
My great-grandmother lived a wonderful life, she had 3 wonderful children, outlived 2 of them and her husband, lived and died in the house they built together, under the watchful eye of her last surviving daughter Shirley. She is survived also by her grandson Bruce, granddaughter Becky, and great-grandaughters Shona, Laura, Sherri and Robin. I will miss her and hope that she has found happiness wherever she is.

John Zimmerman June 26, 1921 - April 27, 2005
PITTSFIELD -- John J. Zimmerman, 83, of 266 Appleton Ave. died Wednesday at home. Born in New York City on June 26, 1921, son of Samuel and Celia Wasserman Zimmerman, he was a graduate of Evander Childs High School in Bronx, N.Y., and of Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned a bachelor's degree in architecture. A Navy veteran of World War II, he earned the rank of signalman 1st class and served in the Pacific and China seas. A registered architect, Mr. Zimmerman worked for a number of large New York City firms. He was also in private practice for almost 50 years. After his retirement, he volunteered for Elder Services and the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires. He delivered Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors after moving to Pittsfield in 1993. A talented artist, he worked in a variety of media. His work included sculptures in bronze and marble, paintings in watercolor, oil and acrylic, and stained glass. His first wife, the former Lucille Feldstein, whom he married Oct. 2, 1942, died Aug. 12, 1975. He and his wife, the former Mildred Lazerson, were married June 26, 1976. He leaves two daughters, Trudy Zimmerman of Wayland and Sharon Zimmerman of Westminster; a son, Alan Zimmerman of Oneonta, N.Y.; a brother, Paul Zimmerman of Phillipsport, NY.,; a stepson, Richard Olanoff of Syracuse, N.Y. five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
John was someone who was in my life for 15 or so years (and I wouldn't ask to trade them for anything). He was an amazing artist and a very unique man. The last year has been very hard for his family as he was fighting with stage 4 bone cancer. He taught his family a lot about how to fight a horrible diease and enjoy everyday as it came. He will be remembered and loved by many people.
